Anju is not my daughter.. She died in our eyes.

Love Crosses Borders: An Unconventional Union Amidst Controversy.

Father Gaya Prasad Thomas accused Anju from Rajasthan who went to Pakistan for her boyfriend. The father expressed impatience with the actions of Anju who went to Pakistan and married her Facebook friend Nasrullah. Anju is not his daughter. He said that such a daughter is better to die than to be alive. He said that he has no right to return to India, if he comes here there will be severe punishment and he cannot recover from what he has done.

Last week, Anju surprised her family by embarking on an unexpected journey, choosing Pakistan over Jaipur, to be with her Facebook friend, Nasrullah, a resident of Upper Dir district in Malakand Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

In a video statement, Anju clarified her intentions, explaining that she had come to Pakistan to visit her friend and not for an engagement or marriage. She emphasized that her visit was entirely legal, intending to return home in two to three days. There was a minor communication glitch when crossing the border via Amritsar and Wagah, causing confusion with her family back home. However, she later informed them of her whereabouts.

The situation took a complicated turn when a marriage certificate, or 'nikahnama,' emerged online, revealing her conversion from Christianity to Islam, adopting the name Fatima, as part of her union with Nasrullah.

Anju is not my daughter.

Her husband in India, Arvind, expressed shock and hurt over her actions. He alleged that Anju had lied to obtain a visa and was not truthful about the divorce papers she claimed to have submitted. Despite the marriage certificate, Arvind insisted that Anju was still legally his wife and stated that neither he nor their children would accept her if she returned.

Anju's father, Gaya Prasad, also felt betrayed and disowned her for the choices she made, especially leaving behind her two children. He lamented not being aware of her plans and felt her actions had adversely affected the family.

Meanwhile, Nasrullah, Anju's newfound partner in Pakistan, shared their romantic journey that began in 2019, albeit with pandemic-induced disruptions. Nasrullah recounted the struggles to get Anju a visa and stated that she willingly chose to visit him. He emphasized that she was a guest and free to leave whenever she desired.

Anju had previously expressed her fondness for Pakistan and her desire to bring her children on future visits. As her visa expiry date approached, it remained unclear if she would return to India. However, Arvind expressed his intention to investigate how she obtained her visa and potentially register an FIR upon her return.

The story of Anju and Nasrullah showcases an unconventional union that has sparked both controversy and emotional turmoil among their families. Their relationship transcended borders, leading to unexpected consequences and challenges for all involved parties.
